A welcome screen that follows a purchase

The moment after someone pays is the moment they are most ready to start. Confirm it, and point them at the first thing to try.

Try it. This is the real thing.

The phone runs the same open-source Web SDK your site would load, with the template exactly as it ships. Tap a button and see what your code would receive. Prices here are examples; your site passes the real ones.

The button below opens it as a popup over this page, the way it appears on a site.

Loading the live demo

Tap anything, and scroll inside the phone for the rest. Your site gets the event.

When to use it

  • Right after your checkout succeeds.
  • The first time someone opens the product on a new plan.
  • To explain what just unlocked.

What goes on it

  • A confirmation, in one line.
  • Two or three things the new plan unlocks.
  • One button that takes them to the first thing to do.

Set it up in three steps

  1. Start from the Welcome to Pro template

    Rename the plan, list what it unlocks, and set the button's action.

  2. Give it a placement

    Name it something like welcome_pro. Your code asks for that name, so you can swap the screen later.

  3. Open it after the purchase

    Call it from the page your checkout returns to, or from the callback of your payment code.

The code on your site

Prices and checkout stay in your product. The screen itself comes from Miniwall, so a new version reaches your site without a release.

Open it when your checkout returns
// On the page your checkout returns to. handleAction is your own function.
await UIKit.presentPaywall({
  paywall: { placement: "welcome_pro" },
  onAction: ({ actionId }) => handleAction(actionId),
});

Good to know

Does Miniwall confirm the payment?
No. Miniwall does not handle payments. Your code decides when the purchase has succeeded, then asks for this screen.
Can I change the text later?
Yes. Edit it in the editor and publish. The next visitor sees the new version, with no release.
