A sale banner you can switch on for the weekend and forget

A bar across your site for a weekend sale or a launch offer. Write it, schedule it, and it goes away by itself when the offer ends.

Try it. This is the real thing.

The phone runs the same open-source Web SDK your site would load, with the template exactly as it ships. Tap a button and see what your code would receive. Prices here are examples; your site passes the real ones.

The button below shows it the way it appears on a site: pinned over the page.

Loading the live demo

Tap anything, and scroll inside the phone for the rest. Your site gets the event.

When to use it

  • A weekend or holiday sale with a clear end date.
  • A launch offer for new plans.
  • A short notice that every page should show, like new pricing.

What goes on it

  • One line with the offer.
  • A button to the offer or your pricing page.
  • Colors that stand out from the page without covering it.

Set it up in three steps

  1. Start from the Promo Bar template

    Write your offer in one line and set the button's link. The SDK adds the close button, so the screen has none.

  2. Choose how it shows

    In Display, pick Banner and top or bottom, then Show it when the page loads. Pick the pages it should appear on, or all of them.

  3. Schedule it

    Give the placement a start and an end. Before the start your site shows nothing new, and after the end it switches back by itself. Schedules are on Indie and up.

The code on your site

Prices and checkout stay in your product. The screen itself comes from Miniwall, so a new version reaches your site without a release.

Add this once, on every page
UIKit.configure({ apiKey: "pk_..." });

// Each placement shows itself by the rule you set in Display.
// handleAction is your own function: it decides what a button does.
UIKit.startAutoPlacements({
  onAction: ({ actionId }) => handleAction(actionId),
});

Good to know

Will it show on every page view?
New automatic placements start with a limit of once per session, so a banner does not use up your views on every page. You can change the limit in Targeting.
Can visitors close it?
Yes. The SDK adds a close button to banners, so your template does not need one.
